Twee afzeggingen Down The Rabbit Hole

Als eerste was er vandaag slecht nieuws vanuit Sofi Tukker: een aantal weken geleden brak Sofi haar voet tijdens een show in Australië. Die breuk blijkt nog niet voldoende genezen, daarom moet ze op doktersadvies een aantal shows waaronder Down The Rabbit Hole afzeggen.

"Even though my recovery is going great, unfortunately my doctors don’t think I’m ready just yet to jump around and do our show. I am super bummed and we have been looking forward to these shows for a long time. Due to the injury, it looks like I won’t be ready to perform until July 17th at the earliest, which means we have to cancel more tour dates :(. We are going to reschedule Berlin and Frankfurt but won’t be able to make it to Balaton Festival, Exit Festival, Down The Rabbit Hole Festival, and Pohada Festival. I am so grateful for the support and kind words everyone has been sending me!”

Een paar uur later kwam ook Sam Fender met een afzegging. Hij kampt al langere tijd met stemproblemen, waardoor hij eerder al Pinkpop miste. Op doktersadvies komen daar een flinke reeks afzeggingen achteraan, waaronder dus voor Down The Rabbit Hole, maar ook het grote Glastonbury.

"Absolutely gutted to share that I'll not be able to perform at Glastonbury this weekend. It's always been a dream to play at Worthy Farm and I wouldn't miss it for the world but the docs have told me I need longer to recover from illness. Hopefully we'll get a chance to return next year. Sadly our perfomances at Les Eurockenees, Down the Rabbit Hole and Barn onf the Farm festivals next week are also cancelled. Massive apologies to all you, love and thank you for understanding."

Sam sluit nog wel een kleine positieve noot af: volgende week komt er nieuwe muziek van hem uit.
