Blondshell & Doves nieuw op de kink playlist

Bij KINK houden we dag in, dag uit het muzieklandschap in de gaten voor toffe nieuwe releases. Zodra die er zijn voegen we ze direct toe aan onze playlist. Dat hebben we bijvoorbeeld ook gedaan met Blondshell en Doves. Check ze snel hieronder!

BLONDSHELL - T&A

Sabrina Teitelbaum, zoals Blondshell eigenlijk heet, heeft het moeilijk met het uitbrengen van nieuwe muziek. Jaren lang woonde ze in Los Angeles en dus is ze veel bezig met het nieuws rondom de branden in die stad. "In a way it feels dumb to talk about music, but I also think the whole point of art is for it to exist in the context of pain as a small emotional respite… even if just for one moment", laat ze weten. En daarom brengt ze toch haar nieuwe single T&A uit.

DOVES - COLD DREAMING

Sinds 2018 is de band Doves helemaal terug. Ze stonden als supportact van Noel Gallagher op het podium en zijn ook druk bezig met een zesde studioalbum. 14 februari komt Constellations for the Lonely uit, waarvan dit een voorloper is. "'Cold Dreaming’ is a song about forgiveness — trying to forgive and move on. As a minimum these days, resilience is the thing that you need more than ever, certainly as a musician. Perhaps the lyrics do touch a bit on what we’ve been through", aldus de band zelf.
